Acclaimed choreographer Stefanie Batten Bland joins Duke Professor Jasmine Cobb (Department of African and African American Studies) for a free public conversation ahead of the world premiere of Company SBB’s Embarqued: Stories of Soil. The new work centers African ancestral stories to insist on the full complexity of our country’s history, shedding light on postcolonial histories and possible futures.
